Snellville Restaurants Receive High Scores in Recent Inspections

Restaurant inspections in Snellville for Dec. 31 - Jan. 6.

Results of recent Gwinnett County restaurant inspections in Snellville by East Metro Public Health with a synopsis of deficiencies found by the inspector. These are reports over the past week.

Location: 2697 Main Street West
Score: 96/A
Previous scores: 87/B, 89/B
Deficiencies observed: Bottled iced tea stored in cooler above ready to eat foods in walk-in cooler (tea without twist off top). Rear handsink with utensils stored in it. Utensils were removed. Handsinks are to be used for handwashing only, no other use is permitted and/or intended.

Deficiencies observed: Foods not stored in covered containers, with wrappings or in packages. Eggrolls, cooked chicken and cooked chicken wings cooling at room temperature at beginning of inspection. Cooked chicken cooling in deep pans in the walk-in cooler. Foods were placed in shallow pans and put into walk-in cooler to rapidly cool. Current inspection report not posted at beginning of inspection.

Deficiencies observed: Food items not covered by packaging, coverings or lids. Equipment wet stacked prior to air drying. Stacked pans were unstacked to be air dried. Equipment/utensils should be air dried prior to stacking to prevent possible bacteria growth.
