I am a 7th grader at Snellville Middle School and have been nominated to represent my school and community as a member of the Juniors National Young Leaders Conference in Washington DC this spring
The Congressional Youth Leadership Council nominates exceptional students from around the country to attend an experiential educational program. As you can see, this will be a powerful experience, enabling me to interact with many prominent men and women whom most of us only read about in the news.

I maintain a 4.0 GPA.
Imagine if you had been given this opportunity for a life-changing experience when you were in school and were unable to participate for lack of funds. That is why I am writing to you today.

My participation in the Conference depends on whether I can raise $2500 in sponsorships. (The Conference tuition is $2000 and my travel to the Conference will be $500.) I am investing every dollar I can of my own money to make sure I donβt miss out on this unique experience and am also taking on extra jobs to raise the funds I need. In addition, through my family, friends and neighbors, I have already raised $1300.
That leaves me with a balance of $1200, and I am hoping that you will consider assisting me with some of these costs. All donations are tax deductible and I can send you a letter thanking you for your support with your donation amount on it for tax purposes if you provide me with your address.
Your support for my sponsorship request would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
