A burglary suspect in unincorporated Stone Mountain in Gwinnett County told police he was coming down from a drug high and thought he was invisible when he allegedly entered his neighbor's home Aug. 12.

The incident was recorded on a motion-activated security camera set up next to the double rear doors of the residence. The footage showed a young white male -- with long wavy dark brown hair and bushy sideburns -- enter the residence and walk past the security camera multiple times, according to the report.

The homeowner thought the suspect looked like his neighbor's son, with whom he'd previously had issues regarding throwing cigarette packs and beer bottles into his backyard, the report states.

With the chain now boasting 1,600 restaurants, the birth of Waffle House will be recognized for its historic significance. At 1 p.m. Sept. 8, a Georgia roadside historic marker will be dedicated outside the first restaurant -- now a Waffle House museum -- at 2719 E. College Ave.

The marker will be erected by the Georgia Historical Society, the Waffle House, the City of Avondale Estates, and the Avondale Estates Downtown Development Authority. The museum will be open noon to 3 p.m. on Sept. 8.

Gwinnett County Police arrested an uncle and nephew on incest charges early Friday at a business in unincorporated Norcross.

Police noted that at first, the two people appeared to be a woman in her early 20s and a middle-aged man. After further investigation and questioning, it turned out the woman was actually a 21-year-old male from Gainesville. He had been taking hormones since he was 19 that caused him to grow breasts and develop feminine features.

The two also told police that they were uncle and nephew, and they had been involved sexually for about two years. The nephew told their family that he was gay, said the uncle, who's a 37-year-old Snellville resident. When his nephew started gaining female features, the uncle asked him about becoming sexually involved together.
