Last-Minute Tax Deductions

Donate items to the Gwinnett Habitat for Humanity ReStore before Dec. 31 and get a tax deduction for 2012.

‘Tis the season for giving and receiving. Donate items to the Gwinnett Habitat for Humanity ReStore and get a last-minute tax deduction.

The Gwinnett ReStore sells new and gently used furniture, appliances, home furnishings, building supplies and much more at bargain prices. The proceeds generated through the sale of donated items support the Habitat for Humanity mission to build homes and hope for local families in need of affordable decent housing.

“Digging into your closets, garages, storage areas and warehouses instead of your pockets provides a way to turn items you no longer need or use into a tax deduction before the end of 2012,” said Stacie Stamper of Duluth, donations coordinator for the Gwinnett ReStore.
