Patch 101: How to Get the Most Out of Snellville Patch

A short guide on uploading announcements, events and becoming a blogger.

Snellville Patch is more than just an online news organization: it's a community platform.

You can stay up to date with current events going on in and around town by signing up for our daily newsletter and by following us on Facebook and Twitter.

Not only can you come and talk about the news of the day in our comment section, you can also add your own events and share good (or bad) news through our announcement section.

Announcements can be obituaries, births, marriages, congratulations, or public service announcements.  For example, if your local sports team won a game, share it as an announcement and add a picture.  If your daughter's Girl Scout troop is volunteering for a project, tell us!

If you want the announcement or event featured on the top of the page, just send me a message and I'll make it happen. Often, interesting announcements lead to great stories that I can follow up on.

Now, bloggers: if you have a unique viewpoint or just have things on your mind you want Snellville to know about, sign up as a blogger.  Snellville Patch has five new blogs that will launch within the next couple of weeks.

You can also upload pictures.  Think your kids look super cute with their new backpacks and haircuts as they head back to school?  Upload it!  Anything that you think is worth sharing probably is.
