We talked to teens about finding summer employment, and a day later we also ran a story about people to help them through these tough economic times.

June 29:

Scott Bracco, basketball coach at South Gwinnett High School, was one of 100 coaches that participated in a new play-by-play online technology. Learn more about it on Patch.

June 30:

Patch visited Academy Sports + Outdoors the day before the official opening to catch a glimpse of the new store. In addition, we shot photos of youth from the Boys & Girls Club who were treated to a shopping spree.

We took a look back into the history of Snell's Pharmacy. After more than 50 years, the business is still serving customers in Snellville.

July 1:

Marivel Martinez escaped domestic abuse, and now she's leading a jewelry business to gain independence and peace of mind. She was recently at the Snellville Farmers' Market craft village.

July 2:

This week's Bites Nearby choice is a restaurant in nearby Stone Mountain. The eatery has both European and American cuisine influences.
