Patch in Review: March 27-April 2

What did you miss? A lot.

If you weren't keeping up this week, you are super behind. So much was going on that we logged our most visitors to the site ever. Thanks Patch Pack! If you missed something, here is a list of some of the major stories that happened in Snellville.

March 27: We lead with a story on the , which opens May 14. Organizers are currently taking applications for vendors. For the first time, the event will also be open to craft and antique vendors. In addition, we learned from South Dakota Highway Patrol of the , a Snellville Days committee member. Pierce apparently lost control of his vehicle in snowy weather.

March 28: Before leaving for , Snellville residents Daniel and Amber Lufiyele told us of their mission trip to help widows and orphans in southern Africa.

March 29: We attended the meeting on Monday, and learned that the city is now using its new iPads in an effort to go paperless, and that a new half-marathon race is coming to the city.

March 30: officials announce that a winning Fantasy 5 ticket was sold at a local Exxon gas station. Local nonprofit announces that Atlanta Falcons punter , despite the lockout, will be the host of its charity golf classic. And, the biggest news, that included one in the Centerville area.

April 1: On the not-related-to-robberies side, is named Georgia's high school Principal of the Year. She is the principal at Brookwood High School.

April 2: It was an easy day in the neighborhood, and no major developments. We With spring break starting for Gwinnett County students, it's the perfect time for everyone to figure out something fun to do.
