The Reid Mullins Scholarship

Reid Mullins, an extraordinary educator and citizen

In 1969, a new concept in education was introduced in Gwinnett County. The very first middle School would open in Snellville. It was an innovative idea and required just the right person to be the principal.

Reid Mullins was selected to fill that demanding position. He quickly became one of the most loved educators in our community. He was known for his kindness and open manner with parents and students. Faculty found him to be an excellent leader.

When Mr. Mullins retired in 1989, Snellville Middle School PTA established the Reid Mullins Scholarship in his honor.Β  Currently the scholarship is sponsored by the Reid Mullins Family, The Trail Blazer, and Pioneer faculty members of the first middle schools of Gwinnett.
