Which Local Post Offices are Open Late?

It's the deadline to file your taxes, and if you're a procrastinator, you woke up today probably in a bit of panic. Yikes, it's April 15, and you have to get to a post office.

We've compiled a list of where you can go in metro Atlanta today until 6 p.m. and beyond. (See below.)

Also, you can e-file your taxes (any pay any taxes owed) up until the last minute, although the system may be slow due to an influx of visitors. 

If you owe taxes (whether you request an extension to file or not) and want to pay by check, that still has to be postmarked today. Otherwise, you'll incur late-payment penalties.

If you are going to the post office today, be sure to get there as early as you can, as lines tend to be much longer when taxes are due. If your post office has staff standing outside, and your tax return is stamped and ready to go, hand it to the collection employees. It's quicker. (Official advise that mail over 13 ounces has to be presented at the retail counter.)
