Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: Noah was among 46 Gwinnett County students who represented the district at the Georgia Science and Engineering Fair, which as held March 31-April 2 in Athens. He won a chance at the fair after placing first in his category at the regional competition in February. Noah was the only student from a Snellville school to qualify for the state competition. It he did well, he will earn a spot at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair to be held May 8-13 in Los Angeles.

Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: It's no easy feat to get top honors at a science fair. It takes a lot of planning, a lot of thinking, and a lot of creativity. To qualify for the state challenge, you have to be considered the best in your category from your district. In all, 13 middle school and 36 high school student-researched projects from Gwinnett County were presented at the state science fair. We checked with the Georgia Science and Engineering Fair to see if Noah qualified for the international competition in May, and when we know we will post an update.

(Editor's Note: With spring break, we were unable to get a photograph of Noah, however we have contacted the state science fair to see if we can snag one. Or, if you all know Noah or his parents, let us know, and we will contact them.)
