The Snellville Police Department continued its annual tradition of Shop with a Cop last week at the local Walmart.

As the name suggests, Shop With a Cop allows local children in need to go Christmas shopping with a Snellville officer. This year, the Snellville CPA Alumni Association headed up the event and worked with Walmart to secure funding for it.

"This is our favorite event every year," said Snellville Police spokesman Capt. Greg Perry. "We enjoyed partnering with the Snellville Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association, Britt Elementary School and staff, Wal-Mart stores, and the Wal-Mart Foundation. We thank all of our partners for helping us bring this event together."
