Eastside Medical Center Launches Air Ambulance Program
Air ambulance base in Snellville is the first in Gwinnett County.
Eastside Medical Center launched a new air ambulance service with a Thursday ribbon cutting in Snellville.
The hospital said in a press release it has entered a partnership with Air Evac Lifeteam, the largest independently owned air ambulance service in the country.
An Air Evac Lifeteam crew — registered nurse, paramedic and pilot — will be on call 24 hours a day.

The Snellville base is one of 114 bases across 15 states in Air Evac Lifeteam’s network of air ambulance services, the ninth in Georgia and the very first air ambulance in Gwinnett County. Other bases are located in Carrollton, Cordele, Douglas, Troup County, Vidalia, Jesup, Dublin and Statesboro.
