Aimee Copeland Weeks Away from Master's Degree

The Snellville resident will receive her master's degree in psychology on July 27.

Aimee Copeland will soon receive her master's degree in psychology.

It was the very degree that she was working to complete a year ago at the University of West Georgia when she was injured in a ziplining accident, ans subsequently contracted a flesh-eating bacteria.

Her recovery has been chronicled around the world, and Copeland's resilience has captured the hearts of many.

On July 27, she will receive her first master's degree, according to various news reports, including ABC News. She will also begin classes soon for a second master's degree in social work.

Most recently Copeland welcome her new service dog, Belle, who is trained to assist Copeland in many ways. Β
