The Path Project to be Recognized at the Georgia Game

Team U.G.A. will recognize The Path Project as part of its effort to recognize those in the Bulldog Nation who are using their lives to make their communities a better place.

This weekend The Path Project will be recognized during the UGA vs. Vanderbilt game. This is part of a "grassroots initiative" called Team U.G.A. "to highlight and bring recognition to those in the Bulldog Nation who are using their lives to make their communities a better place."

The Path Project currently offers programs at the Gwinnett Estates and Bay Creek Mobile Home communities in Loganville and at the Stone Mountain Mobile Home Community in Snellville.

The goal of the organization is to “help kids find the right path for their lives,” according to their Facebook page. The majority of the park's residents are first and second generation Mexican immigrants.

The program strives to address the challenges these at-risk children face due to the absence of positive role models, lack of basic skills, and the hopelessness that leads to gang activity, teen pregnancy, and dropping out of high school, according to their website.

"The Path Project is made up of countless incredible people who give of their time, talents, and resources to help at-risk children develop academically, socially, and spiritually," Hollandsworth said. "Please celebrate with us ALL the amazing and generous people who are making a difference in Loganville, Stone Mountain, Walton County, and Franklin, Tennessee.  We are thankful to be a part of what God is doing."
