Funeral Arrangements Have Been Made for George Thomas Ford

Ford passed away on Saturday, Nov. 24.

George Thomas Ford, age 78, of Pigeon Forge, Tenn., formerly of Snellville, Ga., passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Odos and Annie Ford; first wife and mother of his children, Thelma Brand Ford; and brothers, O.C. Ford and Sammy Ford. He is survived by his wife, Billie Jo Ford of Pigeon Forge, TN; children, Michael T. and Martha Ford of Snellville, GA, Brett and Susan Ford Gibbon of Loganville, GA; stepchildren, Tim Allen Cox of Pigeon Forge, TN, David Lee Cox of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren, Stephen Ford, Patrick Ford, Christina Weilbrenner, Jonathon Feiler, Russell Thomas, Joey Cox, Tiffany Cox, Jenna Cox; great-grandchildren, Grace Weilbrenner, Alexis Feiler, Colt Feiler; and sister, Carolyn Gaylor of Auburn, GA.

Mr. Ford retired from General Motors after 31 years of dedicated service. After retirement he worked for Volunteer Chevrolet. He was a Deacon at Bethany Baptist Church and was a resident of Pigeon Forge for 25 years.

A Funeral Service to Celebrate the Life of George Thomas Ford will be held Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, with Minister Harold Savage officiating.

Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens.
