Funeral Arrangements Have Been Made for Lucius 'Buck' Patat, 93

Services will be held on Jan. 5, 2013.

Lucius Lamar (Buck) Patat, 93, of Snellville, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2012, after a lengthy illness.

An open house memorial gathering will be held Saturday, Jan. 5th in Snellville. 

He was born on April 18, 1919, to Fred C. and Irene W. Patat of Bogart, Ga.

Daddy Buck is survived by his wife of 67 years, Nadine Bell Patat; daughter and son-in-law, Jane P. and Jim Rucker; two grandsons and their wives, Keith and Julie Rucker of Tifton and Gregory and Jill Rucker of Loganville; and six great-grandchildren, Hannah, Calvin, Rebecca, Joshua, Olivia and Elizabeth.  

Also, he is survived by a sister, Ann Cooper of Nicholson, and a brother, Gene Patat of Monroe and several nieces and nephews.

A decorated veteran, he served four years in the U.S. Army during World War II in Europe. Retired from the USDA, he was an avid gardener, happily sharing his huge bounty with family and friends. He loved to fish and spend time with family and friends.
