Obit: Snellville Woman Passes Away at Age 89

Mary Leila Cox Beaver, age 89, of Snellville, Georgia entered into rest on September 12, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of over 50 years, Joseph Wendell Beaver. She is survived by her daughter & son in law, Sue Carroll and her husband Rev. Bill Carroll of Snellville, GA; two sons and daughter in laws, Ben Beaver and his wife Rosanne of Smyrna GA, Jimmy Beaver and his wife Emily of Snellville, GA; four grandchildren, Stacy Carroll and his wife Kim of Loganville, GA, Stephanie Carroll Martin and her husband J.R. Martin of Snellville, GA, Leigh Beaver Bailey and her husband Eric of Loganville, GA, Jarrett Beaver and his wife Kellie of Loganville, GA; six great grandchildren, William Carroll, Alexis Martin and Emma Bailey, Rachel Bailey, Johnny Beaver and Justin Beaver; sister Hester Lou McCart of Loganville, GA; sisters-in-law, Opal and Weyman Brooks, Avis Murrell, Betty And Kenneth Hughes all of Snellville, GA, Peggy Cox of Loganville, GA and Coleaner Cox of Dacula, GA; brother-in-law, John & Marty Beaver of Jasper, GA; numerous nieces , nephews, cousins, a devoted care giver, Tiffany Rutledge, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Beaver was born December 19, 1923, in Walton County Georgia, to Maude Mae Doster Cox and William Oscar Cox. She attended school in the Loganville, GA area and worked for the former Walton Clothes and also served with the County extension service. Mrs. Beaver loved to quilt, work in the garden growing vegetables and enjoyed planting flowers. She was a longtime member of the Lenora Baptist Church and was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.

The Service Celebrating the Life of Mary Leila Cox Beaver will be held Sunday, September 15, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel with Rev. Bill Carroll, Kenneth Hughes and Terry Briscoe officiating. Interment will be at Lenora Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the funeral home.
