Snellville Mayor Pro Tem's Daughter Passes Away
Kelly Witts Murphy, 38, died after her battle with lung cancer.
The daughter of Snellville Mayor Pro Tem Tom Witts has passed away after battling cancer.
Her obituary can be found below. Witts also lost his stepson, Rick McGranahan, 41, in March this year from complications from diabetes.
Witts also asked Patch to announce that he is suspending all campaign and political activity until further notice.

Kelly Witts Murphy, the daughter of Snellville Mayor Pro Tem Tom Witts and Susan Tucker of Scranton, Pa., passed away Sunday night, Sept. 22, after a valiant battle with lung cancer.
Kelly is survived by her loving husband Paul, her parents, her step mother Carol Witts, step father Charles Tucker, her sister Hollie, niece Emily, and several aunts and uncles.
Kelly, 38, was a laboratory technician with Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton.
Her funeral will take place on Thursday, Sept. 26, at the Carlucci-Golden-Desantis Funeral Home, 318 E Drinker St., Dunmore, PA 18512.
