Tressie B. Sheppard, 94, of Snellville

Tressie B. Sheppard, age 94, of Snellville, passed away, Thursday, October 31, 2013. 

Mrs. Sheppard was born in Charlie, TX, to Tram and Alice Stewart. She grew up in Lowton, OK, and moved Snellville from Norman, OK. Mrs. Sheppard is survived by daughters, Naomi Timmons of Norman, OK and Terry Walter of Snellville; Grandchildren, Danny and Timothy Timmons, Joy, Summer and James Walter; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Husbands, Lt. Hugh Brewer, Plano, TX and Col. Byron Sheppard, Los Angeles, CA; and son, Michael Sheppard, Norman, OK.

Mrs. Sheppard was a true Army wife, mother and Real Estate Agent.  She enjoyed traveling and dining out with family and friends.  Tressie had a great sense of humor; she was generous to a fault and was completely devoted to her family.

A service honoring the life of Tressie Sheppard will be held, Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Tom Wages Snellville Chapel at 2 p.m. with Minister Harold Savage officiating. The family will receive friends, Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to: Alameda Church of Christ, Streams of Faith Water Ministry, 801 E. Alameda Street, Norman, OK 73071.
