The following people were arrested by the Loganville Police Department during the period Jan. 19 - 21. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.
- A complaint to the Loganville Police Department ended up in the “victim” and the “offender” heading to jail. Police were called to a dispute on Fair Street while two people were moving out of their Fair Street, Loganville residence. They got involved got into an argument and ended up being arrested for disorderly conduct. During processing, however, it was discovered that one of the subjects also had an outstanding warrant. As a result, Cynthia G. Guy was charged with disorderly conduct and Jodie Dee Clay was charged with disorderly conduct and arrested for an outstanding warrant.
- Gregory Scott Maddox, 41, of 1271 Meadows Drive, Loganville, was charged with driving while license suspended/revoked, open container violation, driving under the influence and a seat belt violation. His passenger, Christine Harris, also was charged with open container violation as well as disorderly conduct after she reportedly banged on the cell door and yelled once she was in custody. Both were transported to the Walton County Detention Center. Maddox is reported to have had a blood alcohol level of .224 grams.
- Christopher Brad Page, 20, of 4282 Sandhill Road, Thompson, was charged with shoplifting, less than $300, and was picked up on an outstanding warrant. The arrest was a result of a call to Walmart on an alleged shoplifting call. The subject reportedly walked out of the store without paying for a DVD player valued at $89 and a $1 bandana. During processing, it was discovered that he had an outstanding warrant out of McDuffie County for a probation violation. He was transported to Walton County Detention Center.
- Scott Bryan Carlisle, of 713 Ashley Wilkes Way, Loganville, was charged with DUI – alcohol 0.08 gm or more, 21 or over and failure to maintain lane after and officer with the LPD observed the F150 Carlisle was driving lose control on Highway 81, spinning out of control and ending up facing the wrong way in a ditch. He is reported to have recorded a blood alcohol level of 0.84 and 0.87 grams.
