Armed Robbery Reported at Home on Meadowchase Court

The crime occurred in the middle of the afternoon while the homeowner was home.

Around 4 p.m. on Jan. 11, a homeowner was chatting with a visitor at her front door when an armed white man wearing a black mask and black hoodie took them both by gunpoint.

The homeowner said the suspect was armed with two guns. She was shaken up when police arrived, telling Snellville Police that the suspect shot at her.

The suspect demanded prescription drugs and money, according to a police report. As he was yelling for the items, he discharged one firearm into the kitchen floor near the back door.

During the robbery, the suspect dropped one of the guns, causing it to break. That one turned out to be a BB gun.

He got away with some cash and prescription drugs, along with the back door key from the dead bolt. He then left through the front door and got into a tan passenger car, possibly a Honda Accord with damage to the trunk, according to the homeowner. She was not able to get the tag number of the vehicle.

After the suspect left, the homeowner got into her vehicle and tried to follow the suspect. She saw him turn north bound onto Rockdale Circle toward GA 10. She then went back home and called 911.

Wow, people are just getting bolder and bolder.
Crystal Huskey (Editor) January 15, 2013 at 04:34 pm
Seriously. Why do you think that is?

Demanding prescription drugs and money! I wonder if he actually defined which prescription drugs he would prefer? Oxycontin or Vicodin, if you please? Seriously? I don't know if you chalk it up to people getting bolder, crazier, stupider, or if this is just a case of an addict needing a desperate fix? Now if you are speaking in terms of the homeowner getting in their car and attempting to chase the intruder - I would agree; that is bold. Perhaps not the safest decision, but yes - bold.

I'm thinking targeting such specific items wasn't random. Just saying.

After you are shot at and robbed by a stranger, you get into your car and try to follow them BEFORE you call the police? That makes no logical sense to me.

Somethings fishy with this story.
