Cigarettes, $50 Cash Taken in Walmart Gas Station Robbery

The clerk at the Snellville-area store said that he was held up by two men at gunpoint.

Two men allegedly robbed a Walmart gas station earlier this week in the Snellville area.

According to the Gwinnett County Police report, the incident occurred Sunday (July 21) around 12:09 a.m. at the Murphy USA located at 3425 Centerville Hwy.

The clerk told authorities that one of the men produced a handgun and demanded the funds while the second man took out a black backpack. The clerk believes that man initially took out a gun, too, but put it away.

Surveillance footage shows the first suspect holding the gun in the clerk's face as the employee gathered cash from the register. They wanted him to get into the safe, too, but the clerk said he didn't have the key for it.

The suspects left on foot with $50 and about five cartons of cigarettes.

There were no witnesses to the incident, but the manager and clerk both told authorities that they believe one of the men was a regular customer of the store.

Both suspects were black, 5'9" and 175 pounds and wearing black mesh cap, black gloves, and black bandanas as masks. The first suspect also had on a black hoodie and green shoes while the other man had a black and gray sweater and blue jeans.
