Drunken Man Found Unconscious Behind Michael's in Snellville

A witness said the man, who was discovered in the middle of the afternoon, didn't respond at all to car honking and shouting.

A man was arrested and charged with public drunkenness when a passerby saw him unconscious behind the Michael's department store.

According to the Snellville Police report, the 23-year-old local was seen lying face-down in the grass behind the Scenic Highway store around 3:37 p.m. last Sunday (Oct. 20). The witness who called authorities said the man didn't respond to car honking or loud shouting.

The officer found a beer can that was half full and a plastic bag with three unopened beers next to him. A medical team arrived to wake up the drunken man and provide medical treatment.

His blood alcohol level was 0.08 BAC. He was arrested at the scene and transported to Gwinnett County Jail. The beers were placed into evidence.
