Explosive Device Leads to Snellville Man's Arrest

Snellville police arrested Jeremy Keith Weatherford on May 28.

A local man has been arrested in connection with manufacturing a bomb at his Snellville home.

Jail records show that Snellville Police arrested Jeremy Keith Weatherford, of Williamsdown Circle in Snellville, following Memorial Day on May 28. He is charged with possession or manufacturing of a destructive device, simple assault and a probation violation.

And, he remains in jail today without bond.

Officers had arrived to his home Tuesday to serve an arrest warrant stemming from something else, when they found him the garage with what appeared to be an explosive device, according to the Gwinnett Daily Post.

In the news report, police said they secured the device, but that there was "no indication" that Weatherford planned to detonate it.
