Family Arrested After Death, Officer-Involved Shooting

Thomas and Robert Clark were arrested for disorderly conduct after their relative was shot and killed by Gwinnett County Police in Lawrenceville, Ga. Thursday evening.

A father and brother are in jail following an officer-involved shooting that left one man dead in Lawrenceville.

According to WSB-TV, family members arrived to the house shortly after the officer-involved shooting involving a relative, James Clark. Police say the man was armed with a hunting rifle.

Gwinnett County police say officers tried to negotiate with Clark, but attempts failed and police were forced to shoot him. Emergency crews later pronounced him dead.

James Clark's father, Thomas Clark of Winder, and brother Robert Clark of Snellville, after learning of the incident, were later charged with disorderly conduct. They were booked at the Gwinnett County Detention Center about 9:30 p.m., according to jail records.
