Four Arrested, Shooter Unknown in Grayson-area Incident

Snellville man is among four arrested in the Oct. 7 Bay Creek Park shooting in the unincorporated area of Gwinnett County between Loganville and Grayson.

Gwinnett County police report that four people have been charged in connection with the shooting incident last month. The shooter, however, has not been identified.

People in Gwinnett County were up in arms at the skate park at Bay Creek Park in unincorporated Gwinnett between Loganville and Grayson. Police responded to a report of shots fired.

A video of the incident later surfaced on the Worldstarhiphop website under the title Thugs Vs Skatboarders At A Skatepark & Gun Shots Went Off.Β  Be warned the video contains violence and offensive language. .

According to a report by Detective Mario A Boyd of the Gwinnett County Police Department, no victims or suspects were located in the original investigation. However, in a follow up investigation four people were interviewed and all confessed to being involved.

They were subsequently arrested and charged with misdemeanor affray. Those charged were Brett Cortis, 26, of Snellville, Tevin Bowens, 19, of Lawrenceville, Jordan Kimbrell, 20, of Grayson and Edward Buscarino, no age and city of residence given.

Cpl. Edwin Ritter, spokesman for GCPD said officers increased patrols in the park and were proactive with enforcement following the incident.

β€œThere have been no other incidents like this in any of the parks in Gwinnett Count,” Ritter said. He confirmed that at this time the shooter in the Bay Creek Park incident has not yet been identified.
