Four Teens Shot at Snellville-area Party

The victims were treated and released from Gwinnett Medical Center.

Police are searching for a suspect in a late night Saturday shooting at a house party in the unincorporated Snellville-area of Gwinnett County.

The shooting happened about 11 p.m. at a home in the 4300 block of Loch Ness Lane, according to Gwinnett County Police Department.  When police arrived, they determined that five people -- all youths between the ages of 15-17 -- suffered injuries in the incident.

Four of the teens were shot, and shrapnel from the shooting grazed the fifth injured youth, police said Sunday morning. The victims were transported to Gwinnett Medical Center, where they were treated and released, according to Gwinnett County Police.

Police said in press release that an unknown individual began shooting randomly into the Loch Ness home, where approximately 50-60 people were attending a party. Officers, including K-9 units, searched the neighborhood for the suspect, but the suspect was not located.

A motive is unknown, however police said in a press release that "there may be a connection to gang activity and drug activity," but that no "solid connections" were made.

Witnesses at the scene were unable to give clear descriptions of the shooter. In addition, witnesses were not able to provide information a possible vehicle involved or names of possible suspects, according to a press release.
