Police released a photo of the suspect in Monday’s armed robbery of a convenience store near Snellville.

The robbery, which occurred around 5 p.m. at the BP gas station at 2990 Rosebud Road, also led to a shutdown of nearby roads when the suspect was thought to be still in the store when Gwinnett Police arrived.

“Officers were eventually able to confirm that the suspect was last seen running out of the rear emergency exit door,” police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said in a media release.

Police say the man was armed with a handgun when he demanded cash from the clerk, who was forced into the walk-in freezer before he fled.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, age 55 to 60, approximately 5-foot-9 and 160 pounds, with a black-and-gray beard. He was wearing glasses.
