Homicide Suspect is Considered 'Armed and Dangerous'

Police asking for the public's help in locating man wanted for the homicide of 18-year-old Jose De Manuel Alfaro.

Gwinnett County Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted in connection with the murder of 18-year-old Jose De Manuel Alfaro of Lawrenceville.

On Nov. 14, officers responded to 531 Simonton Ridge Trail in response to a report of a person shot. Police found Alfaro dead with two gunshot wounds to the chest.

Homicide investigators believe 17-year-old Brandon Prasad is responsible for Alfaro’s death and have obtained a warrant for his arrest on a charge of felony murder. Prasad is described as a black male with a Hispanic or middle-eastern appearance.

According to police, Prasad is currently at large and should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information as to Prasad’s whereabouts should call 911.
