House Fire at 2400 Block of Folsom Street

Firefighters battled a house fire at 6:36pm, June 7.

Firefighters responded to a call at 6:36pm last night after receiving a call from the homeowner. 

On arriving at 6:41pm, the crew found a two-story home with smoke and flames coming from the garage area.  They entered the residence to search for victims and fight the rapidly growing fire.  They were able to control the blaze by 7:05pm and prevent it from consuming the entire home. 

Three people, one adult female and two children, were outside the home when the units arrived.  None were harmed.

There is extensive damage to the home.  The homeowner has requested Red Cross assistance. 

One firefighter received a slight 2nd degree burn to the face.  Investigators have listed it as an accidental fire originating from the garage area.
