Inside the Police Reports: Man Accused of Taking Money for Jobs and Not Completing Work

Gene Gore turned himself in to Snellville Police this week.

Gene Lennox Gore of 1835 Big Haynes Court, Grayson, was charged with theft of pay for property improvements.

He reportedly turned himself in to the Gwinnett Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday morning and bonded out the same day on a $27,700 bond.

Officials with Snellville Police Department confirmed that a warrant was obtained last week for theft by conversion for an offense alleged to have taken place this past summer.

"The victim paid Mr. Gore a little over $4000 for contract work to be done on a rental property," said Snellville's Sgt. Greg Perry. "The money was taken, but the work was never completed."

Gore went to the Snellville PD and gave a statement after bonding out on Wednesday afternoon.

According to WSBTV, Gore is charged with taking off with a homeowner’s money without finishing a job. WSBTV reported that after the news report aired, three other alleged victims came forward to report similar complaints against Gore.
