The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office and several other agencies arrested 59 wanted people in a two-day warrant sweep, June 11-12.
The sweep focused on the cities of Auburn, Buford, Duluth, Lawrenceville, Lilburn, Loganville, Norcross, Snellville and Suwanee, according to a press release.
During the sweep, 104 officers from GCSO, Gwinnett Felony Probation and the Duluth, Lawrenceville, Lilburn, Loganville, Norcross, Snellville and Suwanee police departments served 77 warrants.
“This warrant sweep was truly a joint venture,” the press release stated. “The risk factors associated with warrant service require the participation of many law enforcement officers to promote the safety of everyone involved. We appreciate the support of our local agencies and always welcome opportunities to work together to serve the citizens of Gwinnett County.”
