Snellville Police have charged and arrested two suspects in the curious case of LSD and their dog, Oscar.

The naked duo could get some new threads -- jailhouse jumpers.

Nicholas Modrich and Jamie Hughes, both 25, were arrested and charged Tuesday evening in case that involves their dog, Oscar, an evening jog in their birthday suits and the psychedelic drug LSD.

Modrich, of Pinehurst Road in Snellville, was charged with four misdemeanors: simple battery (in an alleged incident against Hughes), possessing less than an ounce of marijuana, a violation of drug related objects and public indecency, said Detective James McDonald of the

Inside the home no LSD was ever found, but there was marijuana, a bong and gummy worms, possibly laced with the LSD, according to police and media reports.

Oscar, the dog, was eventually found on October 30, but only after being hit by a vehicle.

McDonald confirmed Tuesday evening that Oscar had been euthanized by veterinarians, but that they were still awaiting toxicology reports to determine if LSD was in the pooch's system.

McDonald said there could be additional charges for Modrich and Hughes related to the dog.

Modrich is being held on a total of surety bond of $5,200, and Hughes is being held on a total of a surety bond of $3,900. As of late Tuesday evening, both were in custody at the Gwinnett County Detention Center.
