News Nearby: Reward Offered in Loganville Arson Fires

Four arson fires in the same Loganville neighborhood in the last two months has Gwinnett fire officials urging the public to come forward with information.

After responding to fires in the same Loganville neighborhood four times in the last two months, officials in Gwinnett County believe they are looking for an arsonist.

Fire officials have asked members of the public who may have information to come forward. A $10,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to a conviction in the case.

Gwinnett firefighters were called to a house fire in the Range Heights neighborhood in Loganville on Friday for the third time in the past two months. The previous two house fires in the neighbood had already been ruled arson and officials said arson again appeared to be the cause of the fire.

“Investigation revealed that the fire was incendiary in nature," Lt. Colin Rhoden, public information officer for Gwinnett Fire and Emergency Services, said in a press release. "Investigators are in the process of locating a suspect.”

A grass fire in the same neighborhood on July 29 brings the number of cases officials are investigating as arson to four. The three house fires in the neighborhood ruled arson include two on Range Heights Terrace and one on Red Rose Court.

The Range Heights neighborhood in Loganville is located in unincorporated Gwinnett. No injuries have been reported in any of these fires.
