The parents of a Tucker Middle School student are facing charges for allegedly encouraging their daughter to fight with another girl at a bus stop after class on Friday.
"It just broke my heart to know that parents would allow this to happen. And for my child to be there with nobody," Quateka Durden told WSB-TV. Durden's daughter was the other girl involved in the fight.
Durden said the other student's parents drove their child from the school to the bus stop on Post Oak Drive in order to deliberately start a fight with her daughter. "They followed the bus. We seen (sic) them from behind the bus," she added.
Police charged Timothy Taylor and Shequita Cade with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
They also charged Taylor with battery after a video of the altercation showed him shouting, "nobody better try to jump in neither."
A passer-by moved in to stop the fight, but it is uncertain who shot the video.
