Suspects Charged in Recent Burglaries

Snellville police have made an arrest and charged a total of two people in connection with a number of unsolved crimes in the Harbor Oaks area.

Policer officers received a call June 7, just after 10pm, concerning a burglary in progress on Williamsdown Circle in the Harbor Oaks area.  They were successful in apprehending the suspect.

The suspect, Jason Schlicher, was hiding under a camper when police arrived. He was interviewed by detectives and found to be responsible for other crimes in the area.  He was carrying a mask and a weapon that he stole from another nearby residence.

Schlicher admitted that he had entered the residence and stolen four beers, but only meant to “scare” one of the residents, according to Chief of Police Roy Whitehead. He was apprehended without any injury to police, citizens or the suspect.
