Police Arrest Suspect in Sweet 16 Party Shooting

Police have arrested and charged the man they believe is responsible for injuring five youth at Snellville home.

Gwinnett County Police Department have arrested the man they believe is responsible for i in the unincorporated area of Snellville. 

Luis Roberto Borrero, 21, of Snellville, was arrested Tuesday and charged with five counts of aggravated assault, three counts of third-degree child cruelty, burglary and discharging a firearm while intoxicated, according to police.

Five youth were injured all between the ages of 15-17, at the Feb. 19 party. Four were shot, and one who was injured form shrapnel. None of the victims were transported to Gwinnett Medical Center, where they were treated and released, according to Gwinnett County Police.

Police said in press release that approximately 50-60 people were attending a birthday party at a Loch Ness home in unincorporated area of Snellville.

In addition to Borrero , police arrested three other suspects in the shooting.

Kempton Greaves, 17, of Stone Mountain, was arrested and charged with discharging a firearm near a roadway. Greaves apparently had a disagreement with someone else at the party when he retrieved a firearm and fired it two times into the air, police said. Police believe that Borrero then took the weapon from Greaves and fired several rounds into the house.

Kenny Madlock, 28, and Xenia Christopher, 35, who live at the Snellville home that hosted the party, where also charged with maintaining a disorderly house.
