Police Find Tombstone in Dumpster, Looking for Information

The headstone found in Snellville has the name "Irene Stark" and the dates "1899-1991" on it.

Gwinnett County Police have found a decades-old grave marker in a dumpster in Snellville and are hoping someone claims it. 

The headstone has the name "Irene Stark" and the dates "1899-1991" on it, according to a news release from Snellville spokesman Brian Arrington. It's currently in the evidence department of the Gwinnett County Police Department. 

It is unknown if it was stolen or lost, but it was found in a dumpster, officials said. A photo of the tombstone was unavailable at the time of the news release.
