Snellville Police have arrested a man for cruelty to animals after he allegedly taped his dog’s mouth closed.

WSB-TV reported Friday that Antonio Furlow was arrested after a neighbor called police to report seeing the dog, a pit bull, with electrical tape wrapped tightly around its snout. The dog was “skinny and emaciated,” according to police. The incident occurred on March 21.

The dog needed to be taken to an animal hospital for treatment and to have the tape removed.

Gwinnett County Jail records showed Antonio Lashon Furlow of Parkside Court in Snellville was being held without bond. He faces a felony county of cruelty to animals.

Bill is spot on What we need is people specific legislation. But thanks to GA's new animal cruelty law this guy may actually do some real time in jail and be a felon when he comes out.
