Police: Man, Neighbors Report Dog Attacks on Summit Chase Golf Course

Multiple residents around the Summit Chase Golf and Country Club in Snellville say the same dog has chased and attacked them on different occasions.

According to the Snellville Police report, the most recent incident came from an elderly man on a recent Friday.

The 72-year-old told authorities that he was walking his dog around 10 p.m. on the cart paths when a dog from the 1500 block of Timberline Trace ran out from the residence and tried to attack him on the golf course.

The man said this is the third time in two months that the dog has tried to attack him on the golf course. No injuries were noted in the police report.

Earlier last month, Snellville PD received many complaints from neighbors that the same dog runs loose and chases and attacks people on the road and course. At that time, police spoke with the dog's owner, who said the dog stays inside or on a leash. The officer had warned her that if the dog runs loose again, she'll receive a citation for violating the restraint/leash law.

Police issued the citation but were unable to contact her to serve it. A copy of the citation was left at her home and it was mailed to her.
