Police: Man Shot Wife, Then Turned Gun on Himself in Murder-Suicide

Police have identified the married couple killed in the Saturday night shootings in south Gwinnett.

Police have identified the married couple killed in a Saturday night shooting that investigators are treating as a murder-suicide.

Rubii Cross, 34, and Leo Cross, 43, were found dead in their residence on Mossy Creek Drive in unincorporated Stone Mountain in south Gwinnett County.

“Detectives believe Leo fatally shot Rubii before shooting himself,” Gwinnett Police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said in a press release. “Both were deceased when the SWAT team made entry.”

Officers responded to a domestic call around 9 p.m. Saturday, April 26, and heard gunshots inside the home as they arrived. The SWAT team was then activated.
