RuPaul's Drag Race Winner Arrested in Gwinnett

James Ross, better known as Tyra Sanchez, was arrested for a small amount of marijuana.

James Ross, winner of RuPaul's Drag Race in season two, was arrested in Gwinnett County Tuesday on a marijuana charge.

Better known as his alter-ego Tyra Sanchez, Ross was charged with having less than an ounce of marijuana in his possession.

Ross, of Atlanta, was held at the Gwinnett County Detention Center on a bond of $1,300. He posted bond, however, and he was released about 1 p.m., on Wednesday, after spending the night in jail.

Ross was the 2010 winner of the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race, a beauty/reality competition show of transgender men. RuPaul, also known as RuPaul Andre Charles, become most popuar in the 1990s with among other things, his hit song, Supermodel (You Better Work.)
