The suspect in the possible gang-related shooting from Wednesday (Sept. 18) is now in police custody.

Brandon Shawn O'Brian Drummond, 20, went to the Snellville Police Department early Thursday evening (Sept. 19) and surrendered, according to a news release from Gwinnett County Police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith.

Gwinnett County jail records indicate Drummond, who lives in Snellville, was admitted into the jail at 7:58 p.m. Records also show that he has three charges against him: aggravated assault, possession of a weapon during a crime and reckless conduct. Smith said he will be held without bond.

Drummond was wanted in connection to shooting another man in the head off Raptor Place in unincorporated Snellville. The bullet grazed the side of the victim's head.

This incident is only half a mile away from Sunday's quadruple shooting that resulted in the death of a woman, her 12-year-old son and her 19-year-old godson. Gwinnett Police believe Robert Bell, the suspect from that case, may be out of the state. Authorities have released the 911 calls of both the neighbor and the only surviving victim, the woman's boyfriend.
