Woman Shoplifts from Home Depot, Steals Police Car, Rams Into Pole
A Snellville Police officer was injured during the ordeal.
A woman is in jail for allegedly shoplifting, stealing a police car and running it into a pole, according to Fox.
The incident happened Friday afternoon at the Snellville Home Depot. Fox reported that the suspect was arrested for shoplifting and fought as she was being taken into custody. She allegedly hit her head against the cage in the patrol car. Somehow she made her way into the front of the vehicle and took off with it.
She drove around 50 feet before crashing it into a pole, according to Fox. An unidentified officer was injured when his arm became pinned between the car and a concrete curb. He is currently in the hospital.
