A second incident was reported at 12:32 a.m. the following day, and it was a burglary in progress. Police arrived at the residence to find a black male in a red hoodie running away from him.

The officer lost sight of the suspect. A K9 unit was brought out, but it lost the trail, too.

The victim, 27, arrived home shortly after police started investigating the home. She told officers that she only found $25 to be missing.

Police noticed that the suspect gained entry to the home by breaking a window. Two drops of blood were found on the living room and dining room floors, and they were collected as evidence.
