Man Charged in Area Home Burglaries

Daniel Scott, of Snellville, is charged with seven counts of burglary.

Gwinnett County police have arrested and charged a local man in connection with several home burglaries.

Daniel Isaiah Scott, of Laurel Bend Drive, has been charged with seven felony counts of burglary. Arrested July 13, Scott is currently in custody at the Gwinnett Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.

Police believe Scott is connected to several home burglaries in Snellville, at least one of those burglaries occured in the same neighborhood the suspect lives in.

That burglary happened July 6 on Laurel Brook Way, according to a Gwinnett County police report. There several items were taken, including a number of electronics, cash, clothes, shoes and weapons. Items stolen were valued at more than $6,500.

After returning to his home, the victim noticed that items were missing. It appeared that someone used the victim's grill to stand on and then break a window for entry into the home, according to the police report.
