Snellville Man Nabbed for Serial Robberies

Derrick Cage, of Snellville, has been arrested in connection with 15 armed robberies throughout the county.

Gwinnett Police believe they have the man responsible for some 15 armed robberies in the county and several city jurisdictions.

Derrick Cage, 28, was arrested Tuesday evening at his Hillsborough Drive home located in the unincorporated area of Snellville.

Norcross Police found the suspect’s vehicle on camera and determined that it had a Michigan license plate, acccording to a press release from Gwinnett County Police Department. County police were then able to determine that only a few vehicles matching the suspect's vehicle -- a silver Dodge Charger -- had been stopped in Gwinnett.

"One of those vehicles belonged to Cage, who was a close physical match to the suspect on video," Cpl. Jake Smith said in the press release.

Now, detectives believe that Cage is the man in the video and responsible for a total of 15 armed robberies throughout the county, including two in the Snellville area.

Cage is currently charged with one count of armed robbery, and he remains in the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond.
