Aug. 29: Burglary was reported at the 600 block of Wiloaks Drive.

Aug. 29: Disorderly conduct was reported at the 2000 block of Elmwood Circle.

Aug. 30: Assault was reported at the 3300 block of Quail Hollow Way.

Aug. 31: Battery was reported at the 2600 block of Riverfront Drive.

Aug. 31: Theft by shoplifting was reported at the 2500 block of Highpoint Road.

Sept. 1: DUI was reported at the corner of Bethany Church Road and Kittery Point.

This seems like an extreme amount of activity this week. I am concerned about this.

Hi Paula! Thanks for your comment. Two things: 1) if you look here (http://snellville.patch.com/topics/Snellville+police+blotter) you'll see that the level of crime has been pretty consistent over the year. 2) I believe there were a few road blocks set up last week, which is why there was a higher than usual amount of marijuana busts.

Thanks for the follow-up, Crystal. I knew about the road blocks I just didn't make the connection. I appreciate our fine Snellville police department and all the good work that they do.

A helicopter was passing over my subdivision by the Gwinnett/Rockdale line last night for over an hour. Scary!
