From the city of Snellville:

Snellville City Councilman Dave Emanuel loves the city police department and isn’t bashful about telling the entire country.

The councilman wrote an article which appeared in last month’s edition of American Police Beat, a publication which boasts it is “The voice of the nation’s law enforcement community.”

The article hails the Snellville Police Department and the Citizens Police Academy which has provided insight on police operations for dozens of city residents in recent years.

“Snellville is fortunate to have a police department filled with so many outstanding officers,” Emanuel wrote. “I have lived in other areas where local police departments are more a source of shame, than of pride.”

Councilman Bobby Howard shared the article with those who attended the Jan. 28th council meeting.

“Our Snellville Police Department continues to shine in a lot of areas and a lot of different areas,” he said.

The article can be read in the attached PDF above.
