Snellville Man Arrested in Starlight Six Drive-In Shooting

Quentric S. Williams was cornered in a Duluth area motel.

A 32-year-old Snellville man has been arrested in connection with a Tuesday shooting at on Moreland Avenue in Atlanta, according to media reports.

Quentric S. Williams, is accused of shooting and killing a Georgia National Guardsman at the well-known drive-in theater Tuesday.

Williams, who police said shot 28-year-old Matt-Chai Lenix, was arrested at the Sun Suites hotel at the corner of Steve Reynolds Boulevard and Club Drive near Duluth, the news station reported.

Lenix was a combat medic in the National Guard, a student at Georgia State University and a martial arts expert. DeKalb County police said he was apparently having car trouble and trying to ask for help when he was gunned down.

According to a story by AJC, a fund has been set up to benefit the victim's family and promote martial arts education. The newspaper reported that Lenix's funeral is 7 p.m., Monday at Salem Baptist Church in McDonough.
